NEW GRANT APPROVED
Rotarians Gail Lehrmann and Kam Breitenbach sent in a grant request to District 5450 to purchase blankets, stickers and cards for Santa, Mrs. Claus and our Elves to distribute during Christmas to patients at Parker Adventist and Sky Ridge hospitals this coming December.  This message was received from District yesterday.  Congratulations.  The District Grant Application sponsored by the Rotary Club of Parker to provide holiday blankets to patients at Sky Ridge Hospital has been approved.
Message from Kam Breitenbach, Past President
Greetings from your Past President.  We have an awesome FUNdrasier coming up July 18, 2018 at Boondocks.  Part of the Sponsorship agreement is to have logos on our Website and weekly email to members.  That puts me in the position of updating some of the information for our website and abbreviated Lamplighter.   So I'm calling it The Lamplighter Flickers while I'm doing this fundraiser.  I'd like to see 100% participation in this fundraiser.  We need members to help with Ticket Sales and bringing in Sponsors!  We also need YOU to purchase tickets (at the least) to this event.  Out of Town?  Not a problem.  Purchase tickets and donate them back and I'll see that they get to those in need of a family fun night in a safe setting.  If you're a friend of Rotary, I'd like to see you participate too!   Please remember our fundraiser make it possible to give back locally and internationally.

Sponsor booklets are available on our Website.  Rotarian Jane Johnson will be bringing some booklets and a sheet to keep sales information this Thursday to our meeting.  I am in the process of talking to agencies such as the Parker Police Department to see if they can accept donated tickets to give to kids they visit with in the public.

We have 2 confirmed sponsors at this time.  Boondocks is giving us and extra hour in the Event Room so we can offer two different pizza & program times and increase ticket sales.   Chick-fil-A is giving a coupon for a specific food item for each Goody Bag and 2 door prize baskets for a drawing during the pizza time.  Hopefully, you'll be able to add to our ticket package!

Thanks for supporting this event and I will send out weekly updates with our sponsors listed.  Questions, email kamiebreitenbach @gmail.com and I'll get back to you asap.
