Rotarians were treated at last week's meeting to a wonderful presentation by comedian and sports commentator and former sports news reporter, Sam Adams.  Sam relayed stories from growing up in the Cleveland area, his 2 year college stint, his even shorter time enlisted with the army, and how he came to the Denver area and began his career as a sports reporter.  Sam can he seen on "Sports A to Z" and also travels around the country performing stand up comedy.  He has also published a book entitle, "If You Don't Believe Me..." a copy of which he autographed and donated to our Club.

 

Chase Hamilton, medical student at Rocky Vista University, visited us in January and explained how he founded the Coalition for Global Community Health (CGCHealth) to provide water filters and education on How to filter water.  The International Committee provided a check for just under $1,000 for filters to help provide clean water for those families in need.  Chase will provide a special presentation at our June 16th meeting to provide an update on the project.  

Rotarian Bob Satrom presents Amy Long, Director of the Parker Library with a check for $1,000.  Amy provided an update on the library's progress on the corner of Main and Pine.  The library is scheduled to be completed in September and will include many wonderful features.  We look forward to seeing the finished product!
