The Rotary Club of Parker honored their Board and Directors at the end of the year celebration held at Black Bear Country Club on June 28, 2018.  The Board and Directors were thanked for their service throughout the year and working towards our goal of Service Above Self.  The new 2018 – 2019 Board and Directors were honored and welcomed for their upcoming service and leadership by new President Ken Claiborne.

The festivities began with entertainment led by Rotarians Steve Brown and Jim Muir.  As the evening continued, as with tradition, a member was honored as the Rotarian of the Year.  This year, the award went to Rotarian Don Clasen who died recently.  Don was involved with lots of projects and was instrumental in his leadership by leading the O’Brien Park Gazebo flower bed projects, being heavily involved with Toys for God’s Kids, Project C.U.R.E., food drives for the Parker Task Force, helping Rocky Vista University medical students get water filters for their international projects, and more.  Don was a Rotarian from 2010 until his death in 2018.
