Tom Luehrs was the featured speaker at last week's meeting.  Tom serves as the Executive Director for St. Francis Center located in downtown Denver.  The presentation provided a very somber view of the plight faced by the homeless and the wonderful services provided by the St. Francis Center.  

The Rocky Vista University Rotary Community Corp is pleased to invite all members of our club to attend a pre-screening of the movie, "The Abolitionists."  The screening is provided by an organization called Operation Underground Railroad Rescue (OUR).  The organization investigates and rescues children from sex trafficking.  

 

The screening is a fundraiser for OUR to purchase supplies they need to help rescue the children and to put them on the path for a new life by helping them attain skills to support themselves.  While the event is free and a light dinner will be provided, a suggested donation of $5 to $10 would be greatly appreciated.  Donations are also accepted online at https://gofundme.com/2ayjxyec.

 

Rocky Vista is located at 8401 S. Chambers Road in Parker (just north of 470).  Guests are asked to park in the south parking lot.  Hope to see you there!
