Play Ball!  We're Watching the Rockies and Fighting Polio

What a fun way to support Rotary's polio eradication efforts! Mike Oldham will organize ordering the tickets for club members, families and friends to attend the baseball game Rockies vs. the World Champion Texas Rangers on Sunday, May 12, starting at 1:10 p.m.  Tickets are $33.00 in Section 144 this year;  $5.00 of each discounted ticket goes to polio eradication.  Please let Mike Oldham know how many tickets you would like!

A Thank-you from Odesa, Ukraine

Our club formed a relationship with firefighters from Odesa, Ukraine when we hosted a group as part of the Open World program.  At the August 10 meeting, Alvaro read a thank-you letter from the group for the support our club has given them.  For security reasons we have been asked not to post the letter, but please contact Alvaro if you would like to hear what they said.

5th Thursday Social

Our club has the tradition of having a social event rather than a morning meeting on the fifth Thursday of any month that has 5 Thursdays.  Join us at the Hickory House on August 31, 2023 for our 5th Thursday social event!  Family are welcome, too.  Click here to register yourself and any guests, or email Kelly Young to let her know you are coming.  Attendees will be responsible for their own bills.

Fundraising Depends on YOU!

We are in the midst of two fundraising campaigns:

  • selling Palisade peaches and pears, and

  • the Parker Uncorked wine festival on October 7.

WE NEED EVERYONE'S HELP to make these fundraising efforts successful.  One of the most important ways you can help is to spread the word about these two opportunities among your networks of contacts.  Check out the stories below for more information.
