Setting the Foundations at Affinity Ranch
After a couple of delays due to frigid weather, on February 1 a group of Rotarians helped set footings in place to support the cabins that will be used by mental health professionals at Affinity Ranch.  We're thrilled by the completion of each step that brings this project closer to realization.  The day started out gray but the sun was shining at the end!  Click here for a slideshow that shows the project.  There will be a second work day to finish the job, planned for March 15.  Click here for more information and to sign up.

We are grateful to following local businesses that contributed materials and services:

  • Centennial Sunbelt Rentals

  • Parker Big Tool Box

  • Ty of All Trades

  • Quikrete Companies

2025 State of the Town and Parker Impact Award

Join us for the 2025 Parker State of the Town event at the PACE Center on Tuesday, February 25.  This is a perfect opportunity to network with Parker's leaders and get an update on what's going on in Parker.  The keynote speech will be from Parker's new mayor, Joshua Rivero, who will set out his visions for the town.

In addition, we will present the Parker Impact Award to recognize people who made a significant contribution to the town over the past year.

Click here to purchase tickets.  Rotarians, we are also looking for people to volunteer at the event.  Click here to sign up or contact Kelly Young for more information.

Getting to Know You

The club will host a Fireside Chat on Wednesday, February 19 from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  This is a great opportunity, particularly for new-ish members, to make connections within the club and learn more about our activities.  AND it's a great opportunity to throw YOUR ideas into the pot concerning what you would like to see our club do.  Please click here to sign up, or contact Bob Forbes to RSVP and get directions.

Do You Love Our Meeting Speakers?

Thank you to Steve Brown, who has been organizing the speakers for our weekly meetings for the past 2+ years.  He is being joined by Kelly Birner, who will assist Steve in arranging for our speakers.

But we can play a role as well!  Do you know people/organizations in our community who have a great story to tell?  Please let Steve and Kelly know!

Free Tix!  Denver Home Show

President Sue mentioned that the Denver Home Show (March 21-23 at the National Western Complex) is offering free tickets to Rotarians.  Let her know if you are interested.

Get Trained for Tech Support

Can you help run the AV equipment for our meetings?  It has been a huge asset to provide the Zoom component to our weekly meetings -- we typically have about 8 members attending by Zoom.  If you would be willing to be trained on the AV equipment, please let President Sue know.

One More Thing -- Can You Help Fill the Wagon?

As part of the Mayor's Mardi Gras Bell, there will be a silent auction.  One of the items will be one of those oh-so-handy collapsible wagons, filled with things to make a Mardi Gras party (such as Mardi Gras beer).  If you can contribute any items to help fill the wagon (e.g., 6-packs of seltzer water, unopened alcohol), please let Kelly Young know.
