This Saturday -- Two Service Opportunities -- Peaches and Weeds

You have two service projects to choose from this Saturday, August 24! If you feel ambitious, you can help at both:

Harvie Park – Saturday, August 24, 9:00 a.m. - Noon

Our next opportunity to work at Harvie Park, Parker’s newest open space, is coming up! This time our task will be weed mitigation. You will need to bring a signed release from the Town of Parker to participate. Please click here to download the form. Click here for more information.

hat
protective eyewear (glasses, sunglasses ok)

snack.

This Friday -- An Entertaining Way to Support Affinity Ranch

Here's a fun way to support Affinity Ranch! They are sponsoring a fundraiser on the evening of Friday, August 23, a murder mystery dinner theatre experience entitled

Jeans & Jewels Gala: Midnight at the Masquerade.

Another Great Food Drive!

Saturday, August 17 was a hot one, but crews of Rotarians staffed the food drive for the Parker Task Force at the Stroh Ranch King Soopers. We had terrific support from the community, collecting

64 boxes of food
$1368 in cash
$345 in gift cards
109 butters
98 packages of cheese
78 dozen eggs

Ice Cream Social

Thursday, August 29 is a Fifth Thursday, so we don't have a morning meeting. But we are gathering that day for an ice cream social at the gazebo in O'Brien Park! Kelly Young will be setting up about 4:30 that afternoon, with the ice cream ready to go about 4:45. Bring ALL of your ice-cream loving family! Fences Done at Affinity Ranch!

A group of Rotarians went out to Affinity Ranch on Tuesday, August 20 to see the horse exercise area put to work for the first time! Members of our club put up the fencing that created the exercise loop. Here are just a few of us who helped with this project, with some of our clients shown in the background. Connecting at the "Bored" Meeting

Join your fellow Rotarians for libations and snacks at Takoda Tavern (12365 Pine Bluffs Way, Parker 80134) most Thursday afternoons starting about 4:00 p.m. It’s a chance to get to know each other in a casual setting while we solve the problems of the world! All are welcome.
