Upcoming Club Events
Join us from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 30 for our 5th Thursday social time at Barnett & Son Brewing Co. in Parker!  The Big Stuff food truck will be there -- this is your opportunity to try out their award-winning cuisine.  No registration necessary, but if you have questions, contact Pat Kendrick at rotary.pat@patentpenguin.com.

So what if it's winter?  Get outside and come ice skating with your Rotary friends at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, January 31!  Bring the kids, grandkids, or anyone else for ice skating and hot cocoa at the Discovery Park Ice Trail (next to the Parker Library on East Mainstreet).  Skates are available for rent, and our in-house skating coach, Deann Olson, has volunteered to help those of us who could use some pointers.  Click here to register.

2020 Parker State of the Town is coming up on Wednesday, February 26 at the PACE Center.  We’re closing in on our goal of raising $60,000 from sponsors – we have only about $10, 000 left to go!  Keep up the good work of soliciting sponsors.  Think of the local businesses that you support – do you have a dentist appointment or a car servicing coming up?  Ask if they will consider becoming sponsors.

Upcoming District Events
District 5450’s Future of Rotary Dinner is coming up on Saturday, February 8, 2020.  The special guest speaker is John Hewko, General Secretary and CEO of Rotary International.  There will also be a polio update from David Talbot, Mountain Foothills Rotarian and Founder of Crutches 4 Africa.  Please bring a check to make an additional donation to End Polio Now. Your donation will be credited to you and to our Rotary Club, and will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.  The cost is $85 per person; the Rotary Club of Parker will subsidize $40 per person for members who attend.  Let’s try to put together a table to ten to attend!  For more information or to register for this District 5450 event, click here.
