Opportunities to Serve with our Partners

This is a busy time of year, and our partners could use some help!  Here are two opportunities:

Tall Tales Ranch, Friday – Sunday, December 5-7

A few weeks ago we had a presentation from Tall Tales Ranch.  They are looking for volunteers to help with their Austrian Christmas event at Schweiger Ranch on Saturday, December 6.  They particularly need volunteers to work with the ambassadors to help with the setup on Friday and the tear-down on Sunday:

•   Friday, December 5 – 12-4 p.m.: Set up

•   Saturday, December 6 - 10:45 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.  Help ambassadors with the coffee trailer

•   Sunday, December 7 – 12-4 p.m.: Tear-down

If you can help for any amount of time, please contact Emma Benner, Director of Community Engagement at Tall Tales Ranch (emma@talltalesranch.org; O: 303-806-9141 ext. 3)

Affinity Ranch, Saturday, December 13, 1:00-4:00 p.m.

What fun!  Help out at the Affinity Ranch Holiday with Horses event by gently guiding families to the events as a Trail Guide.  Note – there will be required training on Saturday, December 6.  For more information and to sign up, click here.

Wrapping Paper for the Denver Indian Center

We are collecting holiday wrapping paper for the Denver Indian Center to use in wrapping up gifts for their clients.  Please bring in your contributions to our meeting on Thursday, December 4.  Just wrapping paper -- no tissue paper or ribbons.  Thank you!

Scholarships for the DCSD Legacy Campus

The Douglas County School District's Legacy Campus provides pathways for high school students to explore career and technical education, often while gaining college credit.  However, this education can involve additional fees and costs for supplies.  The Rotary Club of Parker contributed $5000 for scholarships for high school students to take part in Legacy's offerings.  Those funds were matched by the Metzler Family Foundation in partnership with the Foundation for Douglas County Schools, resulting in a total of $10,000 to support scholarships for high school students.  Thank you to the sponsors of the Rotary Club of Parker for helping make this possible!

Yippee!  Rotary Night at the Stock Show

Hurry to sign up for the annual Rotary Night at the Stock Show on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.  Join fellow Rotarians for entrance to the National Western Stock Show, a dinner and an evening rodeo.  Please see the attached flyer for all the information on how to order tickets.  Steve Trevino will let you know when and where to meet as a group that day.  Orders must be received by January 9.
