That's a Lot of  Butter!
 
We had quite a presence at the food drive for the Parker Task Force at the Stroh Ranch King Soopers on Saturday, August 17.   We collected 90 boxes of food, and 515 pounds of butter!!  Here are some of the smiling Rotarian faces that encouraged people to donate…
 
Announcements August 17
We have a service project at Project C.U.R.E. on Tuesday, August 20 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.  There is still room to accommodate a few more volunteers – please contact Mike Endres right away (endresm2009@gmail.com) if you are interested.
 
Mike Endres reminds us that there will be a meeting of people interested in the Community Service committee right after our regular meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
 
5th Thursday social event -- Thursday, August 29.  We have a 5th Thursday coming up this month, and we’re celebrating at Takoda Tavern (12365 Pine Bluffs Way, Parker).  We’ll start up between 5:00 – 5:30 p.m.  Please RSVP to Jim Muir at jmuir@rmlearning.com so we can let the tavern know how many to expect.
 
Save the Date!  Our State of the Town event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 26, 2020Steve Brown is chairing the event.  The next meeting of the State of the Town committee is Tuesday, August 27 at 8:45 a.m. at the law offices of Brown & Taylor (19590 E.
