Just a reminder that our morning meeting on Thursday, September 24 will take place at the Legacy Campus of the Douglas County School District (10035 S. Peoria St, Lone Tree, CO 80134). Our fellow Rotarian, Rex Corr, is the Director of the campus and will be our host. The campus will be available to us as of 6:30 a.m., and Rex promised that the culinary students will have special treats for us!

We had a great presentation on September 17 from Heather Haubenschild, Executive Director of Night Light®s.Night Light®s “provides respite care for children ages 1 month to 13 years old who have special needs and their neuro-typical siblings, helping parents or caregivers have time to refresh, regroup, and take care of themselves.”
There are many ways that we can get involved.They accept volunteers in a variety of roles, from serving as a buddy duringan evening respite event to administrative help.Amanda Olderog shared that she had helped out by preparing a meal for the volunteers.We are also welcome to join the fun at various harvest events coming up this fall.

We are celebrating our October Fifth Thursday social event with a chili cook-off! We have invited the Noon Club to join us as well.

The club will provide sample cups, spoons, napkins, water, crackers/cornbread and desserts
BYOB if you want to drink something other than water
Chili makers, please bring enough chili for everyone to sample. Kelly will be able to let you know the number of attendees one week before the event.
There is a $25 entry fee if you wish to participate in the cook-off. Please send your entrance fee to Dan O'Neill, the club Treasurer, either by check or by Zelle. Be sure to note Chili in the memo field.

Thank you once again to the Parker and Elizabeth communities for supporting the August food drive for the Parker Task Force! The Rotary Club of Parker was stationed at the Stroh Ranch King Soopers. Our teams of Rotarians, family and friends collected
61 boxes of food and necessities
$481 in cash and gift cards
In addition, we collected
41 packages of hot dogs, 38 of chicken and 23 of ground beef
43 packages of cheese and 22 of butter.
We are grateful for YOUR generous support of the Task Force.
The Rotary Club of Parker has a long-standing relationship with ShelterBox, an international organization that provides shelter-related supplies to locations that have suffered natural or human disasters. In response to the recent devastating earthquakes in Venezuela, the club sent $10,850 to ShelterBox to help them provide their boxes of supplies to people whose homes were destroyed or damaged. The funds came from

One of the local organizations where we volunteer regularly is Project CURE, whose world headquarters is in Centennial. We help sort the donated medical supplies and then get the supplies into the right bin. Here is the crew from August 2026, having cleaned up our sorted items. No medical expertise needed!
