Congratulations to Lily Peterson, the Student of the Month for Ponderosa High School!  Lily plays both violin in the orchestra and percussion in the Ponderosa marching band and other ensembles.  She has served the Ponderosa community on Student Council, on the Link Crew and with Wish Week. (Click here for an article on this year’s Wish Week at Ponderosa, which has just concluded.)   She has received academic letters all four years of high school. In her free time, Lily likes to do Western pleasure riding. Lily plans to attend Montana State University to study criminal psychology.
Interact Students in Action!

In January, the Interact Club at Chaparral High School raised $828 selling Yuda bands for Guatemalan students needing assistance.  (What's a Yuda band?  See the photo above!)  Way to show your Service Above Self, Chaparral.
On January 31 the Interact club also prepared Valentines to distribute to fellow students with a loving message and Interact 2020 on the reverse.

State of the Town Update
It’s almost here!  The State of the Town event is less than two weeks away, on Wednesday, February 26 at the PACE Center.  Here are some updates:
  • As of February 14, we have raised $55,800.  We’re almost to our goal of $60,000!
  • We are approaching the seating capacity at the PACE Center.  Please let Bill Shriver know right away if you DO plan to attend and provide the names of your attendees for name tags (bcshriver@comcast.net).  Also please let Bill know right away if you DO NOT plan to use all of the tickets to which your sponsorship entitles you.
  • We still need a few volunteers to make the event a success.  Click here to see the signup sheet and sign up for a task online.  We will need all hands on deck once the event is over to clean up.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered to work at the Parker Task Force food drive on Saturday, March 7.  As of now all our slots are covered!
