Congratulations to Karli Ottmann, the Ponderosa Student of the Month for April! Karli has been on the varsity Pom/Dance team all four years of high school. The team has won many awards, including Colorado State championships in Pom and/or Jazz the past three years. Karli has also earned three academic letters. She served on the Student Council as a freshman and sophomore. She has participated in various service projects, including the Denver Rescue Mission, Wish Week at Ponderosa and through National Honor Society.
Karli plans to attend Grand Canyon University in Phoenix to study graphic design with an emphasis on advertising. Best wishes, Karli!
Our speaker on May 9, Maureen McDonald, described the initiatives of the group Changing the Narrative in Colorado, who are identifying and responding to the implications of our aging population in the workplace.
