Help Grant a Child's Wish -- Let's Fill the Claw Machine!

We had a presentation from Make a Wish Colorado a few weeks ago.  Now we have the opportunity to contribute to their mission of granting a child's wish.

There is a claw machine at the offices of Make a Wish where kids who are there to discuss their wish have the chance to ease the visit by choosing a toy from the machine.  We get to help fill the machine with toys for kids of all ages.  Need ideas?  Check out the photo above!  The only criteria is that the claw in this machine is not huge, so the toys have to be from 3"-6" wide.

Last chance -- Bring your contributions to the Rotary meeting on September 21.  Let's fill their claw machine to overflowing!

Questions?  Contact Sue Garwood.

Calling All New and New-ish Rotarians -- Fireside Chat

Past President Bob Forbes invites all new and new-ish Rotarians to join him for a Fireside Chat on Tuesday evening, September 26 from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.  (Actually, ALL Rotarians are welcome to attend!) Location TBD.  This is a chance to get to know each other better in an informal setting, and a chance to share ideas about how to make the most of our Rotary experience.  Please let Bob know if you plan to attend so  he knows how big a venue he needs.

In Memoriam -- Carl Hanson

Jim Muir reminds us that there will be a memorial service for Carl Hanson, co-founder of Praying Hands Ranch and an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Parker, on Monday, September 18 at 2:30 p.m. at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church.  Please let Jim know if you plan to attend -- the family would like an idea of how many to expect.
