King Soopers Food Drive We have one more slot available to help with the food drive for the Parker Task Force on Saturday, January 8, from 10:00 – noon at the Stroh Ranch King Soopers. Click here to register online. You can also email Bill Shriver to let him know you would like to volunteer (bcshriver@comcast.net). The more the merrier! Project C.U.R.E. Tricia Fahey has gotten the ball rolling to enable us to resume volunteering at Project C.U.R.E. every month. Our new monthly day/time will be the fourth Monday of the month from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Click here to register online to volunteer on Monday, January 24 or send a quick email to Tricia to let her know you’re coming (tfahey66@q.com). Friends and family are welcome, and you can register them online as well! Youth must be at least high-school age. For those of you who are new to our club, Project C.U.R.E. accepts donated medical items from hospitals, clinics and physicians’ offices and then distributes these items to meet specific needs around the world. No medical experience is needed to sort these items – just patience and the ability to match similar items. On-the-job training will be available for those of you who are new to this process. For more information on the mission and activities of Project CURE, click here. One more note: the warehouse where we sort is not well heated, so plan to wear a coat, hat and maybe gloves while the weather is still so cold! |
