Scholarship Recipients 2020
Congratulations to the following local high school graduates who each received a scholarship from the Rotary Club of Parker!  The table below lists the students, the high school from which they graduated, the university they plan to attend, and their current planned field of study.  We were happy to meet the students who were able to participate in the club’s online meeting on June 11.  Best wishes to all!

Expressing Their Gratitude
We wanted to share with you many of the thank-you notes we have received since the beginning of the COVID-19 crisis.  These notes were originally displayed as a PowerPoint presentation during our meeting in June 11, 2020.

This includes a thank-you letter that we received from the Rotary club of Odessa, Ukraine!

Serving Our Club!
We can now sign up for the duty roster for meetings online!  We have set up duty rosters on our website for July, August and September, one month at a time.  You can access the duty rosters in one of two ways:
  • There is a box on the Home page of the website (www.parkerrotary.org) called Meeting Duty Rosters. It appears immediately below the Welcome to the Rotary Club of Parker. You can click on the links for the three months to go to the duty rosters
  • You can also go to the calendar for the dates in July and August that currently have speakers. When you click on the pink speaker box in the calendar, you will get more information on the speaker/meeting.  This includes a link that says “Club members: Click here to see/sign up for the Duty Roster for this meeting.”
Once you are on a duty roster, scroll down to the date/task that you wish to sign up for.  You can see if a task is already taken.  To sign up, just click on the Sign Up button on the right side of the task.  You will get a confirming email when your signup is complete!
Supporting the National Guard Who Support Us

Rotarian Mike Endres presented a $500.00 check to Shirley Walker (pictured here) of the Colorado National Guard Foundation (CONG).  The CONG still has many soldiers and airmen deployed locally in response to both COVID-19 and recent civic unrest.  Our funding will be used to support the CONG Family Assistance Program, providing emergency assistance to CONG families in need.
A Bright and Cheerful Look
We wrapped up our mask-making project in late May after donating a total of 370 masks, primarily to
  • 2 local food banks
  • 4 senior care facilities.
Thank you to ALL who participated in this project, especially the many friends of Rotarians who helped with the sewing.  It was truly a group effort!
