Year-End Giving

As you think about year-end giving, one recipient to consider is the Foundation of our Rotary Club of Parker.  Funds from the Foundation underpin all of our service projects.

You can donate directly to the Foundation by Zelle, check or credit card. Or, two more creative ways to donate are

  • by donating a car

  • by linking your loyalty card (King Soopers or City Market) to the stores' rebate program

For details on any of these methods, go to the Foundation page on our website.  And thank you for your gifts that make our service projects possible!

If you wish to donate to the Foundation by sponsoring one of our club events such as the State of the Town or the Mayor's Mardi Grad Ball, please contact Harold McCloud for more information.

If you would like to share your remembrances of Mike with his family, you can either

  • Email them to President Sue, who is collecting and collating them, or

  • Mail a card to Mike’s daughter Jen Oldham at 23733 E. Eads Dr., Aurora, 80016

Pickleball Tournament

Do you play pickleball?  Two nearby Rotary clubs -- Centennial and Denver Cherry Creek -- are sponsoring a pickleball tournament on Sunday, January 26.  For more information and sign up, click here.

Wow!  Look at What RVURCC is Doing!
Kimberley St. John, the current president of the RVURCC (Rocky Vista University Rotary Community Corps), spoke to us on December 5 about some of their projects.  How terrific that we can partner with each other in service!
  • Sorting medical supplies at Project C.U.R.E.
  • Making and serving meals at The Delores Project
  • Serving at Wellspring Church’s Wellness at the Well medical clinics.   If you have expired medications, in particular inhalers, blood pressure or cholesterol medications, you can donate them to Rocky Vista and they will see that the medications either get used or are disposed of appropriately.  Contact Kimberley for more information.
  • MASH Camp -- providing exposure to the medical professions for high school students on Saturday, February 8.  We will have the opportunity to volunteer at that event -- stay tuned for more information.  In addition, if you have high school students in your life, you can help spread the word about the event.  Click here to download a flyer.
Yippee!  Rotary Night at the Stock Show

What is the "Bored Meeting" I Often Hear About?

In addition to our weekly morning meetings, you are invited to join for fellowship most every Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the upstairs area at the Takoda Tavern (12365 Pine Bluffs Way, by The Big Tool Box on the SE corner of Hess and Parker Road).

From 4 until 5:30 or so, we enjoy conversation, sharing stories, world problem solving and a couple of pitchers of beer (or other libation that you choose).  All are welcome, including a spouse or other guest.  Everyone pays their fair share, so be sure to bring $12-15 cash with you.

Join us – there is not a global problem we have not solved.
