Ambassadorial Scholarships

What It Is…
$30,000.00 Scholarship Award for Graduate Study outside the USA in commencing between July and June 30 each year.

Key Eligibility Requirements
Previous work experience, intended graduate degree studies, and future career plans that are related to at least one of the following areas:

  1. Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution
  2. Disease Prevention and Treatment
  3. Water and Sanitation
  4. Maternal and Child Health
  5. Basic Education and Literacy
  6. Economic and Community Development

Timelines
Due to the evolving nature of the program this year’s timeline for application has been significantly compressed:

  •  Prequalification Applications - will be reviewed from January 2 – to mid February each year.  
  •  Scholarship Applications - following acceptance of the Prequalification Application, complete applications with accompanying documents due no later than mid February  yearly.
  •  In-person interviews in Denver in mid February yearly. This interview is a must and no one will be considered for the scholarship without an appearance before the committee on this date.

Rotarians
Individual Rotarians and clubs may participate hands-on in the scholarship process by:

  •  Identifying and sponsoring a scholar candidate
  •  Publicizing the program throughout their professional and academic networks
