Jim has 40+ years of proven seasoned experience in the forestry/landscape and natural resource fields.  Within those years of experience, Jim has worked for municipalities and landowners addressing fire mitigation plans and implementation.

Career

• City Forester, most of his career for the City of Colorado Springs

• Consultant in urban forestry, landscaping, and forest management

• Conducted many presentations to councils, boards, HOA’s, schools, national and regional conferences, and many government agencies

Education

• BS, Forest Management, University of Minnesota

• MS, University of Colorado, C.S.

• And hundreds of hours of continuing education and citizen academies

Jim has always been a contributing member to his community, including more recently as a Board Director on the Pinery Water and Wastewater District.
