Overview
Affinity Ranch is one of our club’s signature causes. The cabins being set up here will extend vital services to people in our community who need mental health support. By helping finish the crushed granite pathways, you are literally putting your hands on high-impact, critically needed services for our community.

Work planned
This is a reschedule of work we planned for September but was delayed due to missing equipment and site prep.
Since then, we have been able to cut in the paths, set in and level the base material, move granite fines next to each cabin site, and shovel and rake in some of the path material.
To complete the paths, we will shovel, rake and level the rest of the granite fines, spray a binding solution, spray on a binding agent, tamp the paths, and spray on a second coat. Tasks vary by interest and capability. At least 8 volunteers will make quick work of this.
Work roles by effort level
-
Light: spray binder. operate walk behind skid steer to move big piles of granite fines into small piles
-
Medium light: rake granite fines to level and feather edges with surrounding soild
-
Medium: shovel granite fines from small piles to path runs
-
Medium heavy: operate a power plate compactor
What to bring
Water, sunscreen, hat, work gloves, shovel, rake, scissors, wheelbarrow if you have one
What will be ready
Paths are already cut in, granite fines are staged next to the paths, tools and binding sprayer on site
