Our club has long been a sponsor of the Interact Club at Chaparral High School. (What's an Interact Club? Interact Clubs are an outreach of Rotary International and local Rotary clubs that bring together young people ages 12-18 to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of Service Above Self.) We welcomed two of this year's officers at Chaparral, Grace Clemens and Olivia Heisler, along with their advisor Carolyn Ford, to our meeting on April 18. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated club officers such as Grace and Olivia, the Chaparral Interact Club has had a particularly successful year in terms of both money raised and number of projects undertaken. How exciting to see this extension of Service Above Self!
Our club also sponsors an Interact Club at Gold Rush Elementary School in Parker, the first-ever Interact Club at an elementary school.
