In the wake of the devastating earthquakes in Venezuela last week, ShelterBox is seeking donations to support their response to those impacted. The need is urgent. Hundreds of thousands are believed to be displaced. ShelterBox is preparing to send pre-positioned supplies such as tents, shelter kits, cooking kits, blankets, mosquito nets, and other basic supplies to those in need.
The club is responding with a $1500 donation to ShelterBox from the budget of the International Committee. The Rotary Club of Parker has a long history of supporting the work of ShelterBox.
If you would also like to make a personal donation, you can do so in one of two ways:
- Send your check made out to Rotary Club of Parker Foundation to PO Box 1472, Parker, CO 80134. Make sure to note in the memo section of the check that this is for ShelterBox Venezuela.
- Alternately (and most expeditiously), make a Zelle transfer to foundation@parkerrotary.org, again noting that this is for ShelterBox Venezuela.
A club member has generously offered to match one for one all contributions made by club members up to a total of $5000. That match opportunity is good for all contributions made through July 16.
